Zarah LA Piloncillo - Unrefined Whole Cane Sugar

Piloncillo is as minimally processed as sugar can get, short of chewing it out of the sugar cane yourself. Learn about how Piloncillo is made - click here

Typically offered in cone shapes, sugar cane juice is boiled down to a thick crystalline syrup and poured into cone-shaped moulds to harden.
You can use Piloncillo as a sweetener, a spice, or both and expect fabulous rum-like notes as well as smoky, earthy elements. It is sweet but less so than refined Sugar. Piloncillo can also be used in savoury uses by way of adding a little sweetness to Chile sauces and used with all Meats, Beans and soups.
